Cash is King!
Where Can Collect Your Cash in Janjanbureh?

Cash Collection on McCarthy Island

It is advisable to set up a money transfer app before travelling as it will not be easy to withdraw money on the island otherwise.
As it is in Autumn 2024, nowhere can accept a debit or credit card.

There are many Money Transfer apps services available as listed on 'What to do if you run out of cash on holiday'  article  from the online My Gambia  magazine but several of those mentioned only have collection points in the coastal area and not on the island.

Most of them have a mobile App but require registration via a laptop/PC.

Some also offer other services like phone credit,  cash power etc. Please explore the apps from your country of origin.
